I've been playing round with DT for a few days, but I just can't get on with it.
On the positive side, it looks pretty good on the PC, not dissimilar to iTunes, but nowhere near as polished. However I was pretty excited when I saw it.
1)Imported all media from my music folder without prompting, and did this quickly
2)Nice looking PC interface
3)Allows control of music via headset (skiptrack, play/pause etc) when in 'sleep' mode
4)Android marketplace accessible on PC
1)Imported all media from my music folder without prompting - meaning I had numerous duplicates and lots of files I didn't want. These settings can be amended.
2)Very hit and miss importing album art (more miss than hit). Something to do with the art file having to be imbedded in the music file? Seems impossible to add album art where it isn't already there
3)Doesn't import folder settings - If an album is a compilation with various artists then it sets it up as separate albums. No way to edit this within the app (I don't think)
4)Can only delete files, no editing possible
The Cons are so significant for me that they completely outweigh any Pros.
It's a shame, as I think this app has loads of potential. Hopefully the developers will make the changes, but until then I will be removing this app and I will start playing with iSyncr a bit more, to be used with Mixzing, which so far I've found to be a pretty good media player with the all-important [to me] headphone controls.
