Default install SL to runcore connected to macbook via usb - 09-15-2011, 10:45 PM

i just got a 32 runcore that i can connect to my macbook pro via usb. I suppose i could image my current 16gb in the dell mini, but i'd like to do a fresh install of snow leopard if it's stable and can be slimmed down.

since i don't have a a usb stick larger than 2 gb, i'd like to go the mbp route, but can't find the exact instructions. I do have an image of snow leopard on my mac, and could burn a disk if neccessary.

could someone point me in the right direction. is everything working on SL, or would leopard be a better choice.

I would recommend Snow Leopard, although Leopard runs fine also. Here is the guide, follow it TO THE letter however substitute the latest Netbookmaker 0.8.4RC1 for 0.8.3Final. Your image should be one you made yourself from a disk you own and not something you downloaded, not just for copyright reasons, but for a much better chance of success. That should get you to 10.6.3 if that is the disk you have.

Method 4: Direct Install from Mac to SSD/HDD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew

Mini 9 | OS X 10.6.5 Via USB Mac on 64G RunCore | 2G Ram | Bios A05 | NBI 8.4 Special | Bluetooth | Legacy Off | 1.3MP

Mini 10V
| OS X 10.6.5 Via USB Mac on 160G HD | 2G Ram | Bios A06 | NBI 8.4 Special | Bluetooth | Legacy Off | 1.3MP
