I got 10.6.3 installed from DVD using 8GB memory stick, but when I ran software update to bring it up to 10.6.7 it started crashing in preboot with message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2e6881c3): "Unsupported CPU: family = 0x6, model = 0x1c, stepping = 0x2"@/SourceCache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-105.13/pmProcessor.c:210
I've seen suggestions to just delete the power management kext and see something around about pM=21? something like that. At this point I redid the 10.6.3 install using the very latest NetBookInstaller 0.5.8Pre and things seem to be OK, but what is my best next move? Apply the separate upgrades from Apple? up to ? or go ahead and see if software update then running NBI again fixes things?

(Sorry, that was NBI 0.8.5Pre I am now using, before was using 0.8.4 RC1)
