Default SDHC Card issues on Mini 9 running 10.6.0 - 03-05-2011, 04:49 PM

i've recently bought a Dell Mini 9 just to install mac os x. i've installed snow leopard 10.6.0 using netbook installer 0.8.3 and it works great. it has a 16gb ssd and i've upgraded it to 2gb.
i bought a 32gb SDHC card to store music on but i'm having some problems with it. when i transfer music onto it over the network it works fine for the first few folders, but when it gets to more than 4gb of music, the folders seem to be corrupt and the music files are missing. some of the folders are ok but only about 4gb worth. i assume it's a driver issue as it seems like i need an SDHC driver rather than an SD.
any ideas? i've tried looking everywhere for SDHC drivers but can't seem to find anything.
