Default Boot Prob: Mini 9, OSX Leopard (10.5.6) - 09-02-2010, 09:43 PM

Hey all- Thanks to all for their thoughts on this.

I have a Dell Mini 9, large HD (filled up to maybe 90% capacity), max RAM, w/ 10.5.6, "uni-boot" Mac (ie., no partition, no other OS'). Upon reboot, the booting randomly stopped. Never had booting probs once I got the software installed (worked fine over an 11 month period). Got the following message on a black screen:

boot 0: GPT
boot 0: HFS+
boot 0: booting
boot 0: done
boot 1: startupfile

Any thoughts about what may be happening? I attempted to fiddle w/ BIOS (ver 4) to get booting from my 2 thumbdrives used to do initial install, to no avail. Warning that I am a newbie who is not sure what he is doing, so thanks in advance for detailed explanation and suggestions.

Love the great community here! Thanks for your thoughts,

When I first Hackintoshed my mini 9 that was what was out in the stores.

There was never a Tiger Retail disc for Intel. Those were strictly OEM drop in discs.
