Default Crazy OSX Idea that would be awesome - 05-30-2010, 06:02 AM

I was thinking about installing OSX on my Mini 9, but as I have a 16gb, that would mean wiping my current Windows 7 installation. However, I have too many windows apps that I need, and my windows 7 installation. is very customized. Would it be possible to take all my windows 7 files, and copy them to a 16gb flash drive, and make that a bootable clone of the Windows 7 installation I have now? And on the SSD, I would install OSX? I know this sounds crazy, but if that would work, that would be awesome.

UPDATE: This is driving me crazy: I am 100% sure that I saw a guide a while ago on Lifehacker for creating a portable version of Windows 7, yet I can't find it. All the guides for creating portable windows 7 tell you to use VirtualBox Portable, but then I don't think it would be bootable. Then is it possible in ANY way to make a bootable clone of my current windows 7 installation?

You CAN do that using any drive cloning tool and cloning your entire SSD drive to the flash drive, but I really don't think that would be worth it, it would be VERY slow, better to use an external HDD.
