Okay, finally,. I got it into 10.6.0, this morning, and using Sloths advice(& my Studio 14z MAC) & mechdrews postI updated to 10.6.2, and added Akki's Mic fix, and all is well
I booted it about 20x to make sure it's working.

Thanks to all who helped me out!!! Also thanks to management, Moderators, etc, and special thanks to the development team...Without whom no Dell mini would even have had OS X so easily!

I will post a donation to help keep this site, with up-to-date
hardware, etc... and I'll be around trying to help, if I can!

PS, thanks OSXq, for pointing out, the time I spent
(looking at my log files neary 160 hrs total) trying to get OSX, and then SL [six months later] on the mini 9..
I decided, to take your advice, and bought a real iMac
I'm waiting on it to come in a week, as I don't think I can carry,
an emac, at 50lbs, with my back and the wife, can use it in the kitchen for her recipes, with the touchscreen,(27" as it's a big kitchen)
wifi keyboard etc.. and I can game again during breakfast, with Windows 7 in a VM, with 8GB of RAM plus then i7 2.93Ghz(Just a shame I probably won't be able to OC it in the BIOS) my XPS OC's more then 1Ghz over core speed, on air...

I thnk I'll like having the iMac under waranty for a few years too

yeah emacs are just like the imac CRT's heavy but with a G4 instead of a G3. I actually use the emac almost as much as my PC (its only 1Ghz so its kinda slow). Im really a PC/Linux guy in transition to a mac (for most things), with the emac/mini9 being the bridge, at some point I may exchange the emac for a mini mac, so I can gain some desk space.

Your Studio 14z setup looks interesting, is there a place with instructions on how to setup OSX for that? I would definitely like to have a faster laptop - although it seems the price of the Studio 14z almost nears the price of the real macs.

Awesome. Now just make sure not to update via software update!
