Default OSX on A90 questions - 04-22-2010, 01:23 PM

I have an A90 that I bought right before they killed them off. I got the factory 16G SSD, bluetooth, 2G of ram, and webcam.

I want to install OSX on it. I Just ordered a 16G Datatraveler flash drive for the conversion and to use for data storage later.

I have read a bunch of posts here and I am left with 2 questions.

Is the factory 16G SSD going to work with Snow Leopard? (I realize it won't be as fast as a runcore SSD)

Where do you get the SL disk everybody talks about for under $30? Is this just an upgrade disk and do I need something else to go with it? Is this the correct one?

Yes, the stock 16GB SSD works fine. The disc you linked to is the correct one. Good luck.

I just installed OSX Snow Leopard on my Mini 9 using the $29.99 OSX Snow Leopard disc I bought at Best Buy and this guide,
NetbookInstaller 3: Installation via External DVD Drive using NetbookCD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew, using a Boot CD and my Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on drive.

Install took a couple of hours but it runs great and boots up in 35 seconds.

mini 9 : Black, 2GB, 16GB SSD, OSX 10.6
