You never notice how much you use something until it's gone. I remember getting my first Mac in 1984 and let me tell you, a one button mouse was *the* coolest thing in the world. Unfortunately, 26 years later I'm going nuts without my middle button in Firefox.
The trackpad is doing great with the two finger scrolling. However, I'm absolutely baffled that Apple mouse driver doesn't simulate middle click from pressing left and right simultaneously. (Actually, I'm not too clear as to whether I'm using the Apple driver, a Synaptics driver, or a hacked driver and wouldn't mind if someone had a definitive answer for that as well.)
Does anyone have a way of simulating middle click on their Mini 9? I am interested in any solution, including hacked drivers, extensions, or even a Firefox exclusive solution.
Update: I am looking for a way to perform middle click in Firefox using only the trackpad with a single hand.
I could even be talked into working on code to do the actual hack if necessary, but that would require some pointers, since I haven't written code for a Mac in about 16 years.
