I like the idea of moving the developer directory to the SD card. I have a 16 GB SD Card. I have not tried to install the developers environment yet. I only had about 4 GB of SSD
left when I started down loading the SDK, and only about 640 MB SSD
left when it finished down loading. Could I optionally move the SDK directory to an external hard drive? Is it possible to install the developers environment on the SD card or the external hard drive? I tried to move the SDK directory to an external hard drive, but could not. Probably operator error. I have not used a Mac in about 15 years. Is it because my hard drive is the one I use with windows? Is it even possible to use the same external hard drive for both OSX and Windows xp?
Thanks so much for your idea's

I was able to copy the SDK file "iphone_sdk_3.1_with_xcode_3.2.1__snow_leopard__10 m2003a.dmg" to my SD Card. I have not tried copying it to the external hard drive again yet. I'm really not sure what to do next. What do I do with the ".dmg" file?

I just tried to install the iphone SDK and learned that I need between 6 and 7 GB of SSD
to do the install. I only have between 3 and 4 GB of free SSD
I guess I need to get more SSD
, unless somebody out there knows a better way.
I was hoping that 16 GB of SSD
would be enough, but I guess not.
Thanks for all your help guys.
