I would be the firstto admit that I have almost no experience with Macs but have fallen in love with my iPhone and hope to get the iPad. With that said, I was given a Mini 9 for my birthday just over a year ago and a friend told me about hackintoshing it. So I cruised these forums over and over and searched all over for any information - after all, being informed is the best way to start.
So not having a mac, I settled on the guide that shows how to install Snow Leopard on a Mini 9 with no Mac. The method included having the retail SL disk, two USB drives, and downloading some software to record images to the USB sticks.
Everything worked good right up until the point where the OS starte loading. After about 10% progress, it reports an error and asks me to reboot. Problem is that when it comes back up, it reports a mach_kernal error. Eventually I can get to the screen that shows the DVD install stick, but I stick at that point.
This has been 4 days now, and I have not gotten progress beyond that point. I am hoping that someone here can help.
Is it my BIOS version (A06)?
