were you doing comparable tasks in each test? Also make sure you lower brightness, turn off BT if not using it, etc. 2 hours does seem rather short.

Have no ideas about your settings or config as you offer no information. But my mini 9 runs ~3.5 on a stock battery in the config described in my sig. My battery sittings in the Energy Saver pref for Battery are: Comp Sleep 15m, Disp Sleep 1m, Auto Reduce Brightness.

mini 9 | 2GB RAM | 16GB STEC SDD | BIOS A06, USB Legacy OFF | No Bluetooth | OSX 10.6.7 | NBI 0.8.5pre w/ ALC268 | Broadcom2Airport
MINI Cooper '02 | 1.6L | CVT | Moonroof | Red w/ White Stripes

Want the ALC268 mini 9 sound fix? Get it here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2377323/Mini9SoundPatch.zip
