Grassle - I tried using the IP address and it seemed like it wanted to connect and prompted for username and password, but it wouldnt accept anything I tried even thou I know the credentials were correct.
In researching this issue, I kept noticing people make different suggestions about trying one thing or another, but in referring to these suggestions they mentioned using AirPort, which is not what I was using - AirPort was turned OFF; and I was plugged in via ethernet cable. So I figured these would not work for me.
So on a whim, I disabled my ethernet connection and enabled AirPort and connected to the wireless network using WPA Enterprise. After flushing the DNS cache I was able to connect to other Macs and PCs. The icons for each Mac on the network even displayed properly too.
I am guessing there are configuration issues or possibly authentication issues when connected to the network via ethernet cable. So I will stick with using AirPort for now!
Thanks for the help!
