The end of the day you machine is still an atom based netbook designed to be usable on 9" display.
Have you got the second gig of memory? That helps in some cases. Netflix probably wont happen period. I've found local copies of standard def movies are very watchable, but anything streaming starts to stutter.

P.S. I am using snow leapord now, and everything seems to better than ever. can even watch hd youtube without any choppiness due to video. The only choppiness I get is from a bad internet connection.
Also, your video WILL run terrible, almost as if there is no graphics acceleration AT ALL if you enabled the older Intel GMA kext in netbook installer (the one that supports mirroring), even if you are not mirroring. So if you did that, I suggest running the latest NBI and not selecting that option.
