THe included drivers for the internal sd slot are slow. Only way to fix that is to fix the drivers.

Have you seen this thread? Reoccurring SD Card FS Corruption. There are quite a few reported problems with SDHC cards. The corruption thing seems common. I fixed mine by copying (slowly!) the content onto back-up, reformatting the SDHC as Mac OS extended and copying stuff back on - note that I apparently 'lost' space when I formatted the card 'journaled' - got it back when formatted without journaling. Speed is now acceptable although there are occasional glitches. Class 6 read is good. Keep on backing up and then if you do have to reformat, you've still got everything.

I had the same problem so I formatted the 8Gb class 4 card into journaled and it worked better, but after I put dual boot (moblin + osx) I wanted to use the card as common storage between two, and reformatted to FATS. It's been painful ever since. Since it's a driver problem, does it mean getting external SD card reader will solve the problem, though I would hate to get another thing to carry around. Is there any fix on the works Meklort? (thanks for all your hard work btw). Class 6 formatted in fat won't make much difference in speed right?
