Exclamation Keyboard does not work in 10.5.8 - 01-10-2010, 02:29 PM

Hi, I installed os x 10.5.6 on my dell mini 9 using the netbook cd and a 10.5.6 disc with a modified OSinstall.mpkg as per instructions on the guide.

Now, throughout these installs, and even after upgrading to 10.5.7 then 10.5.8, I still had to use an external keyboard because the onboard keyboard will not work after the bios.
(and I know they keyboard itself isn't faulty because it types just fine in Ubuntu and windows xp.)

Now I have noticed that if I hit random keys on the keyboard while os x is booting, the keyboard does work after it boots, (only sometimes though, I think I have to hit keys at a key spot or something, also when it does boot after I do the key pressing method, it occasionally acts like a key is stuck down, but I put it to sleep, and wake it up and it works just fine.)

Anyways I was wondering if anyone else has had this same issue; and if so, what solutions have they found?

(and neither Dellefi drivers or netbookinstaller drivers seem to work for the keyboard, any suggestions?)

Thanks in advance!
