Lightbulb Disaple the LEDs of the Mini - 12-18-2009, 03:05 PM

Befor i get started: Great Forum, it helps a friend of me installing OSX 10.6.2 on my Dell 9 Mini... (no, i wasn't too lazy to do it on my own, he was so horny to do this... well, he is what people call a nerd )

Now to my topic:

Is it possible to disable the two leds of the Mini - you know, the white one and the orange "battery low" led? Perhaps most humans like this little lights, but not me.

And yes, i would prefer a software/hack to solve this problem... "Open the Mini and cut the cables" ist not the Solution i was thinking about

Perhaps someone can help

You could put tape over them.
Or color them in to make it seem like they are off.

the power light is necessary to tell if it is actually on/off or in suspend mode. sometimes these states are not entered at the correct time.

the battery light is not much use overall.

i would recommend just getting used to a world with lights.
