Ok I used the dellminiboot123 install and it was working fine until my dog hit the cd rom about half way into the install. Now when I try to reinstall I get to the part when I insert the Mac os X in and get some error that says I must restart my machine with picture of what looks like a power button behind it? I have reformed the hd with windows and it works fine but I cannot get it back to Mac os.what can I do?

Ok it does the same error even when I try to use the NetbookCD process.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

I think you had a kernel panic!
I'd restart the whole process from the beginning.
Wipe out the install you have and start fresh.
It should work since it works for others (me included)

I tried to start over but I can not get it to.
I start with either the netbook or dellmini123 and that goes fine but once I put in the OS X disk and it reads it I ge tthat error?
Maybe a bad disk(DVD)? but it did work the first time I did it, but I ran out of space on the ssd.

i was getting the same problem using the Dellmini123 and NBI trying to boot 10.5.1 but it would boot 10.6 so thats what I installed

really?I was actually using 10.5.1!
So I should try to "step up" to 10.6?
I wil lhave to get a copy first then I will try it.

yea it was strange, I screwed up my 10.5.8 system so I was trying to boot off the cd to get into disk utility but it gave me the same error so I tried my SL dvd and it booted fine.

Maybe try the NBI boot maker and use the USB stick Method, which I swear by - no more dog hitting CD issues

I moved up to Snow Leopard and it installed perfect!
