Did you run NetBookInstaller on your install? It should make your SSD show up as an internal HD, versus an external.

Or are you just asking about changing the appearance of the stock icon?

This is from memory so it may not be exact (I don't have an OSX machine in front of me atm).

Do a "Get Info" on the drive, then go to the bottom for additional settings, open up the tab and check the box for read/write, then it should let you paste.

I'd change it back when done, I had one install get trashed due to permission problems when I left it on read/write.

DELL Vostro 1720 - 2.4Ghz - 4GB - 500GB - Windows 7
DELL XPS M1330 - 2.4Ghz - 4GB - 500GB - Windows 7
DELL Vostro A90 - 2GB - 64GB SSD - OSX

Easy, you need to use a utility like Candybar (MacUpdate: Download Apple Mac Software & iPhone Software) which will do the trick. Just choose and paste an icon over the default internal HD icon.
