After upgrading from SL 10.6.0 to 10.6.1 I lost my wireless connection. I searched and I've tried rerunning NetbookInstaller (RC3) and repaired permission - no help. Showing my OS X ignorance, I even tried removing the wireless card, reboot, then reinstalled card and still no luck (guess I was hoping Device Manager would pick up new hardware, haha).

Anyway, this is a bummer, because everything worked perfect under 10.16.0 - and the 10.6.1 "update" was in the middle of the list of iWork updates I supposedly needed. SHould have known better, but anyway...

CAN ANYONE HELP?

Shot in the dark, did you check the BIOS settings to be sure wireless is not disabled?

Otherwise, it sounds like either the card died, or your router isn't accepting it anymore.

Thanks for the ideas folks - but still no luck, so0 I guess I reinstall this weekend.

UPDATE

Well, maybe there's an easier solution, but a re-install (to SL 10.6.0) has the wireless working correctly. All of the other tricks never took. In any event, no 10.6.1 for now

i had the same issue, so i reinstalled, and downloaded the 10.6.1 update thru System Update and DID NOT run NBI after. Everything stayed working.
