If you havent already get Monolinqual and clear out the other languages and such.

mini 9 | 2GB RAM | 16GB STEC SDD | BIOS A06, USB Legacy OFF | No Bluetooth | OSX 10.6.7 | NBI 0.8.5pre w/ ALC268 | Broadcom2Airport
MINI Cooper '02 | 1.6L | CVT | Moonroof | Red w/ White Stripes

I dumped a bunch of programs that I don't use, and also noticed that if you set Mail to keep copies of the attachments for offline review, it turns out to be a large set of files.

clean out the downloads folder regularly, too.

monolingual cleared up about 1 gb for me.

Default dumped mac os X install data folder - 11-02-2009, 09:27 PM

I hope this was OK, as it was taking up over 3 gb space.

things seem to be working fine so far.

now I have more free space with SL, but it only went from 2.3 gb free to 5.3 free (significant on a 16 gb SSD, but not the 7 gb mentioned in some post on the web)
