Default Using Mini 10v Instructions on a Mini 9 8GB SSD? - 10-13-2009, 11:44 PM

I'm about to try installing OSX on my Dell Mini 9 (8GB SSD), but I don't have a Mac to create the install USB, so I had a friend do it. Trick is he used the following instructions/files found here: Fool Proof No Hassle Mini 10v Install EVERYTHING WORKS!!

Can I still use this install USB? I'm sure I'll need to do some extra steps (ie. remove languages, print drivers, etc), but is the software he used ok or is it specific to the 10v? Also, any pointers on where I need to deviate from the instructions on that page would be very helpful. I've got a bunch of the different guides bookmarked, but am having trouble telling which ones I should follow and when.

Thanks in advance!

No, don't use that method, it has specific things only for the 10v.

Use this method, it is the best written, and best method to follow, even if you have never used a Mac.
