Unhappy How do I format? - 10-07-2009, 04:10 AM

So I have a dell mini9 with OS X installed on a Super Talent 32GB using the method listed on gizmodo's site (How To: Hackintosh a Dell Mini 9 Into the Ultimate OS X Netbook - Dell mini 9 hackintosh guide - Gizmodo).

Everything was working fine for the past 4 months until I decided to update. After I updated it froze on the restart. I proceeded to force the shut down by holding the power button. Now when I start up, after the grey screen with the apple and the spinning progress wheel I get a grayish screen with all these lines on it. I tried starting it up with the boot 132 disc and it fails everytime. I don't really need anything on the ssd, so I was wondering how do I reformat the drive so I can start over?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

That is a really old method that never really worked properly.

Do you have an external DVD drive? Do you have access to an Intel based mac? Do you have a retail copy of Leopard?

The best guides are here-

Choose your method accordingly, and in the install you can reformat your SSD using Disk Utilities.
