Default Installing OSX 10.5 on Dell Mini 9 - 09-25-2009, 08:03 PM

Installing Leopard on Dell Mini 9 using the NetbookInstaller 1: USB Installation via Mac. My Dell has 2 gb memory and a 32gb SSD.

Everything on the install process was working and currently is in the process of installing. The indication bar at the bottom of the install window has been stuck for 30 mins or so. The bar is showing activity but not moving.

Any suggestions on what I should do? Shut down and start the process over again? or should I try the NetbookInstaller .8.3RC1 instead?

Help. Thanks, Chuck

UPDATE: I was able to get the OSX installed. But now here's the latest problem:

After doing a combo OS upgrade to 10.5.8 the reboot brought a white screen with some horizontal lines scattered

I tried rebooting again and now I get the error:

For Realtek RTL8101E/8102E PCI-E Ethernet Controller v1.08 (080408)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM
Operating System not found

From the other postings I think this may be a bad SSD drive. Anyone care to comment? Thanks.

reboot into safe mode using -x at the chameleon screen (press any key when you see the countdown)

once in, re-run the netbookinstall app and select re-install extensions.

Edit: I answer your question without reading your second post...*doh*. It does sound like your SSD is dead. Sorry

Try re-installing any OS just to be sure!
