Default Dell Mini Shuts Down at apple boot screen! - 09-11-2009, 06:49 PM

I installed 10.5.8 and i forgot to make a backup and i don't have a mac! I was hoping if ppl can shed some light on my situation... I deleted language files and some applications like photobooth. I also installed a new driver for my M-audio 49i keyboard on my mini and then rebooted. After reboot my comp doesn't go into the login screen anymore, but it shuts down at the apple grey screen. Can anyone help please?

How did you install? If you used the usb method, plug it in and use it to boot up.
Did you just upgrade to 10.5.8, what guide did you follow? Did you use NetBookMaker/Installer or DellEFi, and which version?

You probably removed too much, if you used monolingual to remove the language files.
I am not familiar with that keyboard, so I don't know if it was the driver that caused the problem, but I would doubt it.

Worst case, you will need to do a fresh install.
