Default Trying to boot off of bootloader - 09-01-2009, 12:48 PM

OK, I have basically no tech background. I've downloaded and extracted DellMiniBoot123v8.02.iso and burned it as a bootable disk using Roxio. When I start up and try to boot off of the external dvd, I get an Operating System Not Found message. Is this because I haven't actually burned a bootable disk or done something wrong in this step?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx.

When you make the disk, don't open or extract the iso, just use Roxio to burn the iso to disc.

Opening the package or extracting the image has been known to result in a coaster instead of a boot disc.
