The 10.5.5 keyboard preference pane is useful for enabling two finger scroll using Melkort's kexts. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to. but that is how you adjust the touch pad on these Hackintoshes.
NetBookInstaller is the newest way to install OS X on the Mini 9, 10v, and Lenovo S10, but if you have already installed and everything is working and you are happy, don't worry about it for now. It is basically DellEFI version 2 or 3, it uses a graphical interface and automates much of the install. It apparently includes the touch pad kext I mentioned before. I haven't used it, I did a DellMiniBoot123 install back in April.
I would suggest reading over how to use it, and maybe prep your supplies to use it, if you are wanting to install Snow Leopard when it comes out.
