Default 10.5.8 graphics problem - 08-22-2009, 06:33 PM

I updated to 10.5.8 with netbookinstaller .82rc4 and things seem to be working fine, except for some graphic issues. Front row starts, but shows a blank screen. When I press the arrow keys, I can hear the menu clicks. Also photo booth won't start. It says 'The graphics card installed in this computer does not support Photo Booth.' They were working in 10.5.7.

In console, I've been getting this error:
8/22/09 11:11:54 AM Finder[93] --ImageKit Error: IKOpenGLDefaultPixelFormat -> can't create a valid pixel format

I've tried installing netbookinstaller several times and have the same problems. Anybody with the same problems or know of a fix?

Thanks.

Using DellEFI method with a few hacks 10.5.8 update is working as well as 10.5.7 was, no problems using front row or photo booth.

I am not sure what to tell you on this one. I decided to do a clean install on my Mini 10v yesterday with .8.2 RC4 method and have not had 1 issue at all. I wish the trackpad functionality would be better... but I can't complain too much.

I just tested out Front Row and Photo Booth and did not experience any problems. Sorry

After messing around with it some more, I think I got everything working. I reinstalled dellefi 1.2a5 and it fixed the graphics problem, but broke the sleep and battery functions. I then reinstalled netbookinstaller .82rc4 and it once again fixed the sleep and battery, but broke the graphics. After a couple iterations of this and changing the check boxes, I got the graphics to work with sleep and battery working also.

I don't know what dellefi and netbookinstaller does differently, but it seems to work now.

Thanks to everyone who made OSX on a mini possible.
