Default Runcore question - 06-29-2009, 01:44 AM

This may be answered elsewhere, but I can't find it.

Is it possible to plug it into my desktop's USB port and install windows that way?

Thanks.

easy answer: no. While it is possible to start the process this way (I have written a very basic guide years ago here: interesting way to install XP on cd-less/floppyless - MP3Car.com ) I do not recommend it at all unless it is the only way. I have used many older computers that dont have the benifit of booting from a usb cd/dvd drive and that is why I used this method. I would recommend borrowing a drive if purchasing is not an option.
