Default Crashed Mini/OSX...need help please - 06-06-2009, 10:22 PM

i’m using HDclone to try and restore an image of OSX on my mini9, which crashed when i tried to update it. i’ve got a bootable HDclone program on a USB thumb drive…i’m booting from the thumb drive and HD clone appears to load…except the mini’s trackpad and mouse functionality are locked up…the program appears frozen. any ideas? i’m using the ‘basic’ HDclone BTW.

I've got an image of OSX on a thumb drive.

Any ideas? Should I try a different restoration method?

Perhaps the settings in BIOS are incorrect?

Thanks for the help.

Make sure Legacy USB is enabled in the BIOS.

I've never used HDClone & aren't familiar with it. Have you tried restoring from Disk Utility? I'd give that a shot before reinstalling the whole thing fresh.
