Default 12v -> 19v car charger - 06-02-2009, 04:11 PM

Hey everyone,

I wanted to be able to charge my mini 9 on the road and didn't want to use an inverter and my original power brick.

I just bought a charger from ebay for $8.65 with free shipping and it's awesome. The build quality is fantastic, it works perfectly and it arrived in about 2 weeks.

The item link is:
19V DC Car Charger Adapter for Dell Mini 9 Inspiron 910 - eBay (item 320368443336 end time Jun-05-09 02:10:46 PDT)

I'm not associated with the seller at all, I just wanted to let people know that it's a great option for charging on the road.

Sold! I bought one.

UK users note, the guy sells one priced in US dollars and one in UK pounds. Buying the one in dollars, even with paypal's own currency conversion, saves you 44 pence, the equivalent of 70 cents.. lol!

I bought essentially the same one on eBay for the same price, got it in just under two weeks, and it works great. Great quality, no heat, and works and charges like a champ.

Mine has seen a LOT of usage recently. It was used for just over 4 hrs on a trip from Eugene to Portland and back, and then it saw ~5hrs of usage on a 7hr road trip from Eugene to the coast (and various places along it). It still works and nothing has happened to my Mini or its battery yet This is a rare case of "you get more than you payed for"
