Got my lcd in today, replacement went very smoothly with the link to the Dell Europe teardown the seller provided. I was scared I was gonna break something else in the process, but I went slow and everything went back together with out any left over screws or cords!
I have 1 pixel which is not really dead, but it is lit up white. I tried to rub the screen as I read somewhere this sometimes works. Not this time, but it is much better than it was yesterday. Now I just need to swap out mt SSD
's (I put the stock XP back in and used it with an external moniter.)
Overall, for $53, this was a relatively painless replacement (other than the week wait, but it was coming from Taiwan.)
