First the good news. Most of the newer plasma and lcd tv's have an RGB input so you can use a monitor cable to plug right into the tv. You just have to add an audio cable from your Mini headphone jack to the back of the tv.

I use my mini for travel and I'm in hotels 4-5 months out of the year so you're not always gonna get a modern tv. I recently purchased a pretty neat gadget that allows you to hook up your VGA out to AV in or component in or even S-video...and it even has all the cables you need. The good news is that I don't have to worry about what kind of TV is in my hotel because with this thing I'll always be able to hook the mini up to it. STARTECH.COM high resolution video converter pc/vga to tv w/ remote control (retail)

Hope that helps.

EyeTV Hybrid works well in OS X. I've used one on my Mac mini for years but haven't tried it on the Dell yet.
