Default Okay Dell Where Is My 6 Cell OEM Battery? - 05-10-2009, 05:36 PM ... -pictured/

I've search and found aftermarket batteries that all seem to have problems and/or foibles depending upon your firmware version. I see the new Mini 10 gets the love with a 6 cell. I don't want the Mini 9 to look like a humped back whale but there are times when you just need portable power.

Course with the 9 with it not having any heat piping the extra lift may be worth it. I've looked at 8 cell aftermarkets which from what I've read don't really work that well. But if Dell created one for the mini 9 I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

the battery works fantasitclly, the bios just doesnt like the battery unless you run a00 like i do, or a04 and live with some blinking lights and a bothersome charging capability
its not so much the battery, as the bios
course they could clone the dell battery to make it work better with the 04-05 bios but what do you want for a Chinese knockoff

Mini 9: Black, WinXP, 2GB GSkill RAM, 16GB STEC SSD, Intel 5300 a/b/g/n, BlueTooth, 8 cell battery (11hr runtime)

I found that running a bigger battery caused my dell mini running os x to slow down over time... I think the time calculation was so messed up it was bogging down the system.... very weird...
