Default Any difference between Rev-B and Rev-C STEC SSD - 04-27-2009, 05:58 AM

Looking on eBay, I've noticed that there are two revisions of the OEM STEC SSD.

DELL00-01850-MXCCU (You can see Rev C writing on the board as well)

X denotes the size of the memory
X=2 8GB
X=3 16GB

Has anyone noticed any performance difference between Rev B and C ? I think all the complaint about slow STEC SSD are for the Rev B. Rev C seems to be closer in performance to the RunCore.

My Mini 910 shipped with a 16GB STEC Rev C which died after approx 3 mths general use.

Dell shipped a replacement which is Rev B2 and so far so good.

The performance between Rev B2 and Rev C seem the same, however, I don't have any quantifiable benchmark numbers.
