Buffalo SSD?

Postby idkmybffskip on Wed Apr 22, 2009 8:26 pm
Hello all,

First off....this forum has been VERY informative and I appreciate all the time and effort this community has made to enlighten 'the rest of us' about the Dell Mini 9. I just got mine on Monday (refurbed w/1GB and an 8GB SSD) and have already ordered the 2GB RAM chip.

The question I have is......

How do those of you with the Buffalo SSD's like them? The price point is great on the 32GB and the RunCore's seem to be impossible to obtain. Is it worth the wait for the RunCore or should I try and get a Buffalo (with slightly lower performance specs) since they are a little more available?

Thanks a bunch!

I've heard good things about the SuperTalent, and the 32GB SuperTalent is (or was) on sale at Newegg for $80ish.

I have a RunCore, and from what I've read, it's amazing. The MicroUSB port is very handy, and the performance difference should be very noticeable. The question is how much money you want to spend and how long you want to wait. RunCore users tend to never look back, but they take forever to get their drives.

yeah i have the same question.
it seems that buffalo 32gb's like $30 cheaper than runcore. and it's available.
and the benchmark for buffalo, 75/32 is much better than super talent.
supertalent is selling for $89, buffalo's $110. and i just wanna make sure if that $20 premium is justified.
