No - the three antennae are needed for a three-stream adapter. Each antenna does dual-band duty. Most dual-band cards for notebooks/netbooks use two antennae only.

Ahh righty ho! So i will see a benefit of using the 5GHz band on a Dell 1505 card then?

Possibly. It depends on how much 2.4GHz traffic there is near you. I prefer using 5GHz where available. Most dual-band home routers, however, have a relatively weak 5GHz signal.
