Mini 9 off ebay, when i click the icon it says device unavail

look up your service tag on dell and see if it had one when new....

is the wireless select software installed? If so, press FN + 2 to bring up the dialog box to enable bt/wlan and make sure they are both on.

Does this also work in Ubuntu? Mine just arrived via Fedex, and I haven't gotten home to play with it! What are the odds that it will work with an external generic bluetooth dongle out of the box?

If it helps at all, my XP mini 9 from he dell outlet came pre-installed with the blue tooth drivers and software, but there is no blue tooth hardware, and from what i found out from looking around & asking, sounds like they use the same os install for all of them, im guessing you get webcam drivers & software even if you dont order one with a webcam as well

I ordered my Mini without Bluetooth. When I got it, I noticed the desktop icon and the icon in the system tray. I hover my cursor over the system tray icon and it says "Bluetooth Device Not Found". When I go into the Device Manager, under Bluetooth Devices, I see "Bluetooth Bus Enumerator", but i don't think that's the actual device, just the connector for one.

I purchased one off ebay and the guy swears it has bluetooth. It wont reconize anything. I thought I might not of done somthing right.
It says "Bluetooth Bus Enumerator" also. I put my code in on dell.com and it said this on one line ..... MOD,CRD,NTWK,BLTH,QH/YM

Does that mean it does it??? I am not very computer literate, I was guessing it was a software issue.
