Default Installed US-INTL keyboard and Bluetooth module - 04-16-2009, 03:32 PM

Everything seems to be working so far. The keyboard though is going to be interesting. I knew it was going to have narrower keys, but I'm a little surprised at how narrow. Going to give it a whirl though. If it drives me nuts enough though, it'll be for sale..

No idea why I put the Bluetooth module in, other than that I could. I have no idea what I'm even going to use it for. Admittedly though, I followed the service manual, and other than actually getting the palm rest up, it wasn't a difficult install, even with my mammoth hands and the little tiny spaces to deal with the ribbon cables.

Overally, I'd say neither one is difficult (keyboard definitely not) as long as you take your time.

Turn it off, take out the battery, take out the two screws in the middle of the bottom plastics that aren't holding in the access panel, flip the keyboard over, unlatch the ribbon cable, pull the keyboard off. To install the new one, do the same thing in reverse, and the next time you boot it up, hold Fn+K. Took me about 3 minutes.
