If you were to try, you would do it through the Disk Management tool available by right clicking on My Computer and selecting Manage.

I was going to try it as others are and saying more speed,Thought it sounded pretty simple,according to the directions posted,My only problem was how to change the C:\ in env.Var. to R:\?? Sounded simple and thought I'd question HOW TO.Seeing your the only reply and I always received and accepted your adivce,No one who says they did it or the original poster seems to reply with a how to? Again I will accept what seems to be your advice>>WHY its a lot of trouble for a bit of speed with a good chance of screwing things up.

Oh, I see what is wanted.

Right click on My Computer, select Properties. Then Advanced > Environment Variables. Under System Variables you'll find entries for TEMP and TMP. Double-click on each one to edit them, changing them to R:\TEMP and creating a folder by that name on the R drive,

I tried this speed up and it seems no faster than before.

I do have to say this mini is soooo much faster than My Dell old cheap deminsion 110. I seldom use the 110 anymore except storing important things.
