Default Remove SSD and replace with normal sata hd? - 03-24-2009, 06:25 PM

I was wondering if its possible to replace the ssd with a normal 5400rpm disk? Can I use the same frame attached to the ssd hd like on other dell laptops...or do you just remove the case and put in the sata hd? Any links to cheap hd's? thanks in advance

Not to be a search nazi, but this has been done to death in existing threads. The SSD in the Mini9 is a very small, flat card. There is no room inside the case for a normal SATA hd. There are a few people speculating about putting iPod hard drives in, but there's a lot of work that would have to go into that to build a place to secure the drive and a connector to fit in the Mini9's slot. The Mini10 has a regular hard drive, that would be a better choice if you want large cheap storage.
