That's exactly what I need too. the connectors that go into the webcam. Can you tell me where you got them? Or I can send you some $$$ if you would drop some in the mail for me. I can solder a USB connector onto them if needed.

Oh, they have to be male tho, the USB hub has the female ports

yeah, i got you covered then. I will send you the info via PM.

Teeth, I have that end also - I will send you a PM as well. The female sides are not wired, only the male ends. I have yet to locate a free-hanging female shell.

um,I could be mistaken, but im fairly certain that the Webcam cable has these colored wires- Black,White,Red,Orange and Yellow (cant remember the order). Thats why I couldnt figure the pinout, since it seems to be non-standard. Thanx tho

just confirmed that the diagram you posted does indeed work

The WEBCAM cable has these colored wired (my previous list was incorrect):

Yellow Orange Red Brown Black

A Standard USB Cable has these colored wires

Black Green White Red

The Yellow Wire on the WEBCAM end becomes unused, and it goes together like this

***WEBCAM END***
Orange Red Brown Black
Black Green White Red
***STANDARD USB END***

I cut the webcam cable just around an inch where the it comes out of the motherboard, and tied it to a USB cable (it was a Male cable that I took the rubber and metal off of it so its just the plastic with the pics,so its essentially a female end now). I tested it with a an old 1 gig flash drive and it seemed to work fine. I have to finish up this cable tho.

EDIT- so yeah,I successfully installed a flash drive that (barely) fits in the WWAN area using a standard full size connector WITHOUT any soldier what so ever

I too am wondering this!

Some one earlier said that the pin out was simple to find... well i did not find this..

And then there is the question about if this is turned on with the software or can i over ride that?

Could i just purchase a USB blue tooth adapter and install it inline to the connector?

A little late to reply maybe.. but I just got my mini 910 online so I have just started my "internet archaeology" to find out what connectors are used here and there.. I always like to do the homework before modding. The Webcam MB connector seems to be a "ACES 88266 05001" if the schematics is trustworthy that will say.. I haven't confirmed this but will try to get my hands on one to check. It would be a wonderful place to "tap in" concidering the proximity to the WLAN antenna hole in the MB.

(Page/Sheet 22)

I went to the following page and did a product no. search for "88266" ant there the MB connector is.

http://www.acesconn.com

It says it mates with 88267 and when i made a product no. search there for "88267" i surely looks like the webcam cord -> MB connector.

I clicked at the "2D" link in the "download column and reached this blueprint.

http://www.acesconn.com/nw/f2d/88267...es%20rev-L.pdf

I measured my Webcam cord -> MB connector whith a caliper and compared to the blueprint and it sure looks like it should be this one..
