Default New logo stickers, where to buy? - 03-16-2009, 09:00 PM

I was just wondering if anybody had any sort of link or experience with buying the little stickers that say 'intel inside' or 'windows xp/vista', etc etc. Where can I find them and for how much? I need to cover up that horrid N series one. Since installing XP on it, the N is just....ugh...well not my favorite letter.

If the N offends that much, you may want to consider just removing it!

eBay. Where else?

I believe Canonical sells Ubuntu versions of those stickers, usually in a strip/sheet.

I was planning to peel off the stickers when my Mini arrives. I never understood why a PC needs to have ads for the CPU and OS on the outside. Apple doesn't gum up their machines with Core 2 Duo stickers and OS logos. Why does everyone else?

The stickers on the palmrest get worn off after a while anyway.

The companies might subsidize the purchase of the componants if they are advertised on the machine. that would also explain the high cost of Apple.

Yes, the manufacturers get advertising credits for using the stickers.

Well I do agree that they do peel off after awhile on a laptop. I figured it would be a fun idea to get one. I do not want a ubuntu one, since that is the OS I chose to remove!
