Default Extremely LONG bootup - 01-27-2009, 05:36 PM

The Dell Mac mini sat unused for a day & when I started it up I thought it had frozen at the blue screen that appears right after the gray startup screen. I left it alone & after 3 or 4 minutes garbled graphics appeared on the screen & it finished starting up. I reran the miniscript but it does the same thing after each restart. Once it did freeze at the gray screen (the circular spinning thing stopped completely).

I've rerun the miniscript twice now & the same thing happens at each startup. What's going on here? Anybody have any ideas?

Dell mini 9, 2GB RAM, 32GB RunCore SSD, OS X (10.6.7)

I had something similar going on until I removed the sd card that I had in. After removing it, boot up and installation went smoothly. After the installation and normal shutdown and restart, having the sd card in didn't seem to slow the startup anymore.
