Hey all...

I found my old mini 9, and got the idea to make a touchscreen comp for my kitchen for cooking out of it.

So, is there a touchscreen kit available that will work? I see the Hoda doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere, but will any 8.9" work?

I'm going to de-case it, and mount it under a cabinet probably, so having stuff "fit" in in the case isn't an issue.

I suspect that at this point, interest in mods to the Mini 9 have diminished considerably. Furthermore, the 8.9" screen size faded from popularity years ago. I suppose that any touchscreen of the right size that can be wired up should work, but don't expect a lot of knowledge here.

You think at this point i might be better off just getting a touchscreen monitor and hooking up the mini to that via VGA?

I can't answer that for you. It all depends on what you want a touchscreen for. Perhaps more important, which OS are you planning to run and does it work well with touch input?
