Hello one and all!
I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to in the forums.
I've managed to pick up a mini 9 from a friend, it's only got an 8GB
SSD in it, so I wanted to put a 32GB usb flash drive inside it to use for data (eBuyer have a surprisingly fast one in their budget range that will do nicely), my question is, I found this on the web
[Can't post links, but Google DIY miniPCIe to usb, it's a mini pcie card with pinouts and cables for usb and data] and I'd like to know firstly if I could solder my usb stick to that card's usb cables and run it in the second miniPCIe slot, and secondly would I need to draw power from another point on the Mini's main board? From what I've read in the forums everyone seems to solder in a usb hub, why is this needed?
Thanks all.
