A good compromise would be a simple plug that fits into the WWAN slot to make contact with the USB lines (and/or any other usable lines) and provide wires for soldering to.
That alone would save folks with the WWAN connector a little trouble, leave more room in the WWAN bay for your mods, and would be an excellent EXCELLENT thing to make and post instructions for as opposed to waiting for a product.
I wonder if you contacted the MyDigitalDiscount folks if they could hook you up with their manufacturer to see how much a few SSD boards with no components on them would cost?
You'd have the card you need with solder points all over the place.
That might give you the closest thing to what you are asking for with the least cost.
