You are correct. I read STEC, but thought RunCore.

Those specs are the best yet for Stec but the Runcore 64GB is still 2 times faster and it would still equal a net 2x improvement in the system speed.
So think of it this way you get twice the computer for a few bucks. Also you could buy the Runcore upgrade and the 2GB Ram upgrade over at MDD for a few bucks more than you paid and have them shipped together.
You could have also configured the system with 4GB SSD and 512MB ram and maybe even made out better money wise. Not sure on that but I am sure someone will figure it out and post it.
My 2 cents.

I just checked it out.. Base 4gb/512meg Mini9 is $300
Same unit upgraded to 64gb/2gb ram is $524
Difference is $224.. Pick up a RunCore 64gb for double the performance, $219+shipping (was like $4 for me)
Toss in a stick of ram from MyDigitalDiscount as well, $25 and probably included in the shipping, or you can try to get it cheaper from NewEgg, but I think after shipping, you might not come out ahead.. Anyways..
$224 to do it with a slow drive from Dell..
$248 to get the best of the best from MyDigitalDiscount..
$24 more, I for one can vouch for the performance difference being worth it.
