Default Using minipci express flash card in another dell latotop - 01-20-2009, 01:10 PM

This isn't 100% related to the dell mini, but I was hoping somenone here would know the answer.

I have a dell d420 laptop, which has 2 mini-pci express card sockets. One has the wifi card in it, but the other is empty. Would I be able to install a 32gb minipci-e ssd (possibly one of the runcore ones) into this and boot an operating system from it?

Any help very much appreciated.

I'm sure the Dell website has a manual or service docs to look at.

If the laptop supports the use of SSD cards it will likely say so, but if it's older than SSDs are then I would tend to doubt it.
