I never actually got an SDHC card for my 9 even though I should have and now its 2011 and I only see threads from a couple yrs back. my questions:
whats the max the 9 will read?
whats the fastest speed i should look for?
should I use it for the windows 7 readyboost?
can I partition it and use half for boost and half for space?
I'm a student and will be looking for a cheap card (under 30 bucks)
also I saw somewhere on someones sig that they put 2 sd cards in their computer, how is that possible?

as it stands i have 30 gigs on my ssd card with 7 gigs free, which was after I backed up all my files to an external drive.
Im looking for information that will help me make a purchase, also if you can link to a product that is good itd be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Maximum size is 32GB
Don't use ReadyBoost on a Mini 9.
Class 6 is appropriate for speed.
You saw that people put 2GB RAM in their Mini 9s. This helps a lot.

thats the same price as the other classes for 32 gb. Will this work? and will the computer recognize the inc speed?

I have installed 2gb ram into the computer but was curious when I saw the signature for the user BMHOME1 read:

Class 10 is fine.

What part of that signature confuses you? The owner apparently added some custom hardware, including an internal USB hub (there are several threads here on that) and a touchscreen (ditto). It refers to 2GB RAM.

I just purchased a Sandisk 32GB Class2 MicroSD and it performs more like a class 4.
Given the Mini 9s capabilities, I would say the speed won't affect anything, and Sandisk has an outstanding reputation for quality.
Use an adapter in the SD slot for compatibility and you're set.

MicroSD cards are slow. The 9 can use the speed of a Class 6 or even higher, but I doubt you would see real world benefit from that. The high speeds are aimed at cameras.

Agreed. I was coming at it from the versatility angle.

The full size SDHC cards will be less costly to purchase as well.
